[Talcottville, New York, 1968-69]. ¶ In the late 1960s, the legendary critic and man of letters, Edmund Wilson (1895-1972), began work on his final book, Upstate, a history and memoir of the part of New York State where his mother’s family had lived and where Wilson spent the better part.....
