An early presentation copy: "For / Ida Brenda Gregg / these songs of California / and Dreamland, with / all good wishes. / George Sterling. / San Francisco, Dec. 6th, 1921." The earliest presentations copies noted in BAL and Mattila are dated December 6 and 8. Ownership signature in pencil of Southern California collector "M. S. Slocum / Pasadena" on the front free endpaper. This copy is in a nice example of the original printed dust jacket, but the jacket was likely supplied at a later date, as the light wear and fading to the cloth would not be present if this copy had always been protected by this dust jacket.
