Comments¶ One of the earliest examples of an important work of American literature translated into a European language. This was apparently translated from the 1820 London edition published by Miller and Murray, which includes two sketches (“Traits of Indian Character” and “Philip of Pokanoket”) not present in the earlier American edition.
