Physical Description

Folio, contemporary panelled calf rebacked with an early red morocco spine label, gilt lettering ("Ben Johnson's Works"). Frontis portrait engraved by William Elder after the portrait of 1640 by Robert Vaughan.

Comments

An important edition of Ben Jonson's works, with the addition of two previously uncollected plays, "The New Inne," and "Leges Convivales," neither of which were included in the editions of 1616 and 1640.
