Comments

A scarce anonymous poem, celebrating female excellence and deriding men "who dedicate the day to indolence and the night to gaming," - whose vices threaten the stability the State. The author suggests that the answer may be to follow the examples of the female character to save England from bad manners, foppish arts and French ways.
