Comments

An attractive and handsomely printed edition of the famous series of poems by James Thomson (1700-48). This edition includes the life of the poet by Murdoch, that was first published with the Works in 1762, and an Essay about The Seasons by John Aikin, first published in 1779. The final two leaves of Aikin's Essay are misbound, but present. Printed by S. Hamilton, Weybridge, with his imprint on the half-title.
