Comments

A rare broadside announcement for the famous bookselling firm of Joseph Sabin & Sons. The provenance of the collection is not revealed, but the advertisement states that it includes "many volumes illustrated with EXTRA PLATES, Autographs, &c. It must suffice in this circular to remark that a large proportion of the books have cost over $100 per volume for binding and illustrations, and it is no exaggeration to say that for its extent it is the most elegant Library of American Books which has ever been offered for sale. The Books will be ready for sale on Saturday, May 1st, at 12 O'Clock, M. Gentlemen wishing to add some GEMS to their collections will do well to be on hand at that hour."

Price: $500.00
