Comments

The collected poetry of Thomas Clio Rickman (1761-1834), including a sonnet and poem to his friend Thomas Paine, and poems to David Garrick, Charles Churchill, Lord Chesterfield, William Cowper, Philip Thicknesse, and Edmund Burke, among others. The poems previously appeared in self-published broadsides and periodicals. In 1810 Rickman published an Elegy to the Memory of Thomas Paine and in 1819 an important biography of Paine.
