A local color novel set in the moutains of Tennessee by the prolific and popular middle Tennessee author, Mary Noailles Murfree (1850-1922), who wrote the majority of her work under the pseudonym Charles Egbert Craddock. This is a miraculous copy that has from all appearances been in its original printed dust jacket since its original issue, almost as new with no significant wear - albeit a previous owner removed the front free endpaper, apparently to remove a previous inscription and replace it on the front blank with "Mabel Richmond from Aunt Nellie Christmas 1919."Price: $450.00
