A celebratory poem in four cantos on the four election paintings of William Hogarth The prefatory Advertisement is signed by John Smith, who states that he is writing on behalf of the "concealed Author," and that while Hogarth's paintings have been explained by others, "none ever gave him [Hogarth] so much satisfaction as the present Performance." At the conclusion a small notice states that "speedily will be published" a poem on Hogarth's "The Roast Beef of Old England," but that apparently was not published.
