CommentsA guide to classical mythology by a writer who had strong connections with the contemporary female literati: her husband, Dominique de St. Quentin, had Jane Austen as a pupil at the Reading School, where Frances also taught. Among her students there were Mary Russell Mitford, Letitia Landon, Fanny Kemble and Caroline Lamb. A Christian Wreath is dedicated to Caroline Lamb’s mother, the Countess of Bessborough, and the frontispiece is after a work by Caroline Lamb.
