Comments

¶ A history and bibliography of San Francisco's pioneering and important fin de siècle publisher and bookseller, William Doxey. The text is an augmented and revised version of an earlier article by Robert Harlan. The finished work published by the Book Club was poorly proofread and over 20 typos were discovered by Harlan after the book had been printed, bound and delivered to the Club for distribution. An errata list was prepared by Harlan and distributed by the Book Club to all subscribers, but it was not printed by Harold Berliner.¶ This is Robert Harlan's copy, with his pencil signature and notation on the front free endpaper "R.D. Harlan / edited copy." The various typos are annotated in the margins by Harlan.

Price: $150.00
