CommentsThe famous edition of Robert Blair's 18th century poem, illustrated by William Blake, here in its facsimile version printed for John Camden Hotten in 1870, using the original plates. For many years this edition was assumed to be the 1813 edition, as stated on the title-pages. In his bibliography of Blake, Bentley expressed doubts about that, and in the Book Collector years later, Robert Essick and Morton Paley delineate the bibliographical scenario.
