Comments

A separately printed epilogue to Mary Berry’s play Fashionable Friends, a comedy Miss Berry said was “found amongst Walpole’s papers.” The play was first performed in November, 1800, with the assistance of Anne Seymour Damer, Walpole’s executor, for friends at Strawberry Hill; two years later it was given a chance at Drury Lane Theatre, but closed after three performances.
