Comments

¶ The first series of what was to become one of the most popular and reprinted of all works of Victorian literature. This copy is from the library of another popular Victorian author, Anthony Trollope, with his bookplate on the front paste-down. Two notes laid in to a former owner who was inquiring about what happened to Trollope's library.
