CommentsA whimsical book for children. A letter from the publisher laid in states "This work is unlike any other book we have experienced. It certainly doesn't have any 'Western Americana' feeling. It has a child like - one might say a rather naive quality to its overall effect. / David [Holman] took the illustrations & created the book. And Barbara has made it come to life with a broad array of luminous colors . . . / Sincerely / Bill Holman." The printed part of the colophon states "100 copies / printed by David Holman using hand-set Univers type." Below that is David Holman's signature with the notation "One of Twelve Copies hand colored by Barbara Holman / No. 4."
