¶ The second play by William Wycherley (1640-1716), a satire and romp of manners centering on a rebellious and single-minded young woman named Hippolyta. The Gentleman Dancing Master is uncommon. Fewer that five copies are recorded at auction in the last 60 years, and the last respectable copy was in the Borowitz sale in 1978.
