¶ A poem by Hardy written at the request of The Times which first appeared in a special Armistice Day section of the paper on November 11, 1920. It was slightly later privately printed for Mrs. Hardy, who contracted the Chiswick Press and Henry Ling to privately print over 15 similar volumes, beginning in 1916, all of which are rare. See Purdy page 349 for a short history of these titles.
