Comments

A fine exhibition catalogue, designed by Carl Purington Rollins, and the precursor to Richard Purdy's Hardy: A Bibliographical Study (Oxford, 1954). Presentation copy from Purdy to American Literature scholar and curator, Gilbert Troxell, dated June 16, 1928, with a note and Hardy keepsake, also produced by Purdy, laid in. The keepsake handsomely reprints Hardy's poem "Any Little Old Song."
