CommentsThe first book of Brydges' poetry published at his famous private press, a collection of sixteen sonnets and four longer poems, several of which had appeared in earlier collections and novels. Brydges defends himself in the preface to the charge of egotism for publishing his own work, and recites a history of his poetic endeavors that justifies this current one. Small embossed stamp of RI. Grosvenor Bartelot F.S.A. in the margin of the dedication page and the first page of the preface.
