DescriptionAn attractive image of the famous Lotta Crabtree (1847-1924), one of the most popular performers of late nineteenth century America - a rock star, Madonna-like personality of her day. Her success on stage and off was so great that in 1875 she donated a large drinking fountain to San Francisco which still stands at the intersection of Geary, Market and Kearny streets and is known as Lotta's Fountain.
