Comments

¶ The memoirs of Alexander Graydon (1752-1818), American revolutionary soldier, considered one of the most valuable sources for American culture, literature and society prior to 1776 and for the Revolutionary War itself. This English edition, published 11 years after the first American edition, was edited with an introduction by Scottish novelist John Galt, who praises it as balanaced and well written.
