Comments¶ An expedition taken on behalf of the owners of a sugar and coffee plantation in extreme northwest Argentina, who wanted to explore the possibility of transporting their produce down the nearby Bermejo river, and thus save on the costly railway freight of over a thousand miles. They hired Dobson, a correspondent for the River Plate Sport and Pastime magazine, for the job and he provides an interesting and entertaining account of his journey, which concluded successfully.
