Comments¶ One in a series of panoramic books of Scottish scenery by James Valentine, photographer by appointment to the Queen. The ten prints in this volume are of Loch Lomond and its environs. Valentine (1815-1880) was a founder of the Edinburgh Photographic Society, and his company was an important supplier of cartes-de-visite, view books and, later, postcards.
