¶ The second book and first novel by Frederick Greenwood (1830-1909), brother of James and Charles Greenwood - all three of whom were distinguished journalists in Victorian England. The Loves of an Apothecary, which was probably issued in a yellowback or otherwise inexpensive format, is an interesting realistic novel about the struggles of a contemporary middleclass English family.
