¶ Twenty early poems by George Meredith culled from Household Words, 1850-1856, and reprinted here for the first time in book form in an unauthorized edition, published just after Meredith's death. The compiler was Maurice Buxton Forman, the son of H. Buxton Forman. Although Twenty Poems falls beneath the cloud of Buxton-Forman/Wise Inc., it is a legitimate first edition and the limitation of 25 copies may be relied upon; there were, however, were an unknown number of "out of series" copies.
