2 vols, 8vo, uniform publisher’s gilt pictorial blue cloth, blind and gilt decorations, gilt lettering. Frontis in each volume, title-page vignettes, and numerous illustrations in the text.

Comments

¶ A collection of miscellaneous pieces from Hood’s Comic Annual, including his “Literary Reminiscences.” The first series was first published in parts in 1839, with later editions issued by Moxon in 1846 and 1855. The Second Series, published here for the first time, was issued in a uniform binding with the reprinted first series. In 1862, both were reprinted again as a part of Hood’s collected works in 7 volumes.
