Comments

An updated edition of Mariana Starke's Travels on the Continent (1820), which she continued to augment and revise in search of the most recent information, in the tradition of great writers of travel guides. This edition was the first to include a separate section on Sicily, and it was the first printed and published in Italy, the primary subject of the text.
